SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On August 18, 2016 at approximately 1512 hours, Vermont State Police responded to a reported crash involving a motorcycle and car in front of 1105 VT RT 7B Central in Clarendon, Vermont.

Investigation revealed that Peter Stacey was driving his 2003 Saab 93 out of the parking lot of Vermont Wood Pellet Company when he entered the roadway just as Adrienne Tirey was traveling southbound on her 2015 Yamaha motorcycle. Peter reported he did not see the motorcycle, but did all he could in an attempt to avoid the crash, however, he was unable to.

Peter’s vehicle struck the rear of Adrienne’s motorcycle which caused her vehicle to deflect eastward and ejecting her. Peter stopped and rendered assistance to Adrienne as well as other motorists.

Peter reported that he was not injured. Adrienne Tirey was immediately transported to Rutland Reginal Medical Center due to a broken leg and for further examination. No other injuries are known and Adrienne has not been available for an interview due to her medical needs.

The State Police would like to thank several people who stopped and rendered aid until first responders arrived.  The crash remains under investigation.
