LOCATION: Route 105 - Berkshire, VT

VIOLATION: EXCESSIVE SPEED

 

ACCUSED: Derick Sartwell                                                                                           

AGE: 27

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Enosburg, VT

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

                On August 8, 2016 at approximately 1400 hours, State Police were

traveling westbound on Route 105 in the town of Berkshire. At about this time,

they observed a vehicle traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed. State

Police were able to confirm the speed via radar at 83 mph in a posted 50 mph

zone. Upon stopping the vehicle, State Police identified the operator as Derick

Sartwell (age 27).

                Sartwell was arrested at the scene and transported to the Saint Albans

State Police barracks for processing. He was released on a citation to appear in

VT Superior Court to answer to the charge of excessive speed.
