Operator's#1 and #2 were screened for precautionary reasons at UVMC E.R.
There were no incapacitating injuries, only bumps and bruises.

SUMMARY OF CRASH: On August 31, 2016 VSP Williston Troopers responded to a 3 vehicle collisions on I89 in Winooski at Exit 15 southbound. Upon arrival it was found through investigation that morning commuter traffic had slowed near the exit 15 on ramp. Operator#1, Airoldi subsequently lost control of her Toyota Rav 4 and rear ended a full size 2016 Chevy Silverado that was stopped. The Silverado was pushed into a 2015 Jeep Wrangler. Traffic was backed up at the location for some time. Neither speed nor impairment were contributing factors. There were no incapacitating injuries.


Vermont State Police continue to remind the public to follow at safe distances giving oneself enough space and time to brake for traffic or other possible road obstructions. Operator#1 will be mailed a traffic ticket pursuant to Title 23 VSA Section 1039 Following too closely. $220.00 and (5 points) as the violation occurred from a collision.
