SUMMARY OF CRASH: On August 27, 2016 at approximately 1930 hours Troopers and Officers from the Vergennes Police Department responded to Arnold Bay Road in Panton for the report of a head on vehicle crash with injuries. Upon arrival it was determined that the operator who was found to be at fault, Edward Davis was intoxicated.

 

Davis consented to a series of tests and voluntarily submitted to a preliminary breath test (PBT) at which point he blew a .120 % BAC. Davis was transported to the Vergennes Police Department to be processed for Driving Under the Influence. After being processed Davis was transported to Chittenden County Correctional Center where he is being held until arraignment.

 

The operator of the second vehicle, Hans Vorsteveld suffered minor injuries as a result of the motor vehicle crash and was transported to The University of Vermont Medical Center for treatment.
