SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On August 20, 2016 at approximately 21:30 hours, the State Police were participating in a DUI Checkpoint on US RT 7 in Ferrisburgh.  During this time the
State Police came in contact with Joseph E. Handy (24) of Colchester.  Further investigation revealed that Handy was operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Handy provided a Preliminary Breath Test (PBT) roadside which indicated his BAC was a 0.093%.  Handy was taken into custody and transported to the New Haven State Police Barracks where he was processed for DUI. 

Handy will appear in Addison County District Court on August 29, 2016, for the charge of DUI.
