SUMMARY OF CRASH: On 08/23/16 at approximately 2050 hours, State Police

responded to the report of a single vehicle crash on Snake Road in the town of

Newbury, VT. Upon arrival, Troopers located a unoccupied 2007 Chevrolet Aveo off

the south side of the roadway. During the investigation the operator identified

as Josh Kearney (19) of Wells River, VT and juvenile passenger returned to the

scene. The juvenile passenger was complaining of neck and back pain and was

transported to Cottage Hospital in Woodsville, NH. This crash is still

under investigation and alcohol and speed are believed to be a factor. Kearney

was issued a citation to appearing in Orange County Superior Court on 10/05/16

to answer to the charges of Gross Negligent Operation, Leaving the Scene of a

Accident, and Providing False Information.
