VEHICLE #1 : 2005 Honda Shadow Motorcycle

DESCRIPTION OF VEHICLE: 2005 Honda Shadow Motorcycle

DAMAGE TO VEHICLE: Moderate Damage to Body of Motorcycle

SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On August 24, 2016, at approximately 9:29 P.M., the Vermont State Police

responded to a single motorcycle crash on Weathersfield Center Road, in the

Town of Weathersfield. A Weathersfield Police Officer had attempted to stop the vehicle for a speeding violation prior to the crash. 

The investigation revealed that the motorcycle was traveling north on Weathersfield Center Road at a high rate of speed. 

The vehicle failed to navigate a sharp right curve and traveled off the west side of the road and into a field. 

The operator was subsequently ejected and was pronounced deceased at the scene.  The

motorcycle sustained moderate damage and was towed by Hillside Auto.  The investigation is still ongoing.
