VIOLATION: Burglary, Unlawful Trespass

 

ACCUSED: Kim Bedor and Megan Wilcox                                                                              

AGE: 48 and 19

VICTIM: Bedor and Wilcox

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: 

State Police responded to a report of a burglary on Crepeault Hill Road in St. Johnsbury on 08/27/16 at approximately 0800 hours. Megan Wilcox reported her apartment had been broken into the night before and three kittens had been stolen. Investigation revealed the landlord, Kim Bedor, forcefully entered the apartment through a window and took the three kittens along with cat food. She then concealed the kittens inside her residence which was upstairs.

Upon learning the location of the kittens, Wilcox confronted Bedor about the stolen kittens. During this confrontation, Wilcox entered the apartment and remained there after being told by Bedor to leave.  Bedor was issued a citation to burglary while Wilcox was issued a citation for unlawful trespass into an occupied dwelling. The kittens: Hazen, Paisley, and Sylvester were returned to Wilcox.
