SUMMARY OF CRASH:
Troopers from the VSP Williston Barracks responded to a two-vehicle collision on I89 SB near MM 104 in the town of Milton, VT.  Upon arrival it was determined that Vehicle #2 and #1 were traveling in the SB travel (right) lane (respectively) when they came upon a disabled garbage truck in the SB break down lane.  Upon approaching the disabled vehicle Operator #2 merge into the passing (left) lane and reduced speed due to slowing traffic in front of him. Operator #1 also merged left and then collided with the rear of Vehicle #2 after failing to recognize that Vehicle #2 had reduced speed. 


All parties involved in this crash were uninjured in this crash.  The SB Travel (right) lane was closed during the incident but no traffic delays were observed.


COURT ACTION: N
