Drugs found at Norton Border Crossing

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On 08/26/2016 at approximately 1200 hours, troopers responded to the Norton POE for a report of drugs found in the vehicle of a Quebec resident attempting to enter the US.

Border Protection Officers reported that during a search of Chantal Tossel’s vehicle, they had discovered suspected regulated drugs.  Investigation revealed that the substances were suspected to be methamphetamine and marijuana.

Tossel was processed at USCBP – Norton Station and released with a citation to appear for the offense of possession of methamphetamine – under 2.5g.  Tossel was also issued a civil violation for possession of marijuana.
