Aggravated Domestic in Derby

VIOLATION: First Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault, Interference With Access to Emergency Services

 

ACCUSED: Colby Martin                                               

AGE: 20

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Unknown, VT

 

VICTIM: (The Vermont State Police does not release the names of victims of

sexual assault or domestic violence.)

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On 08/22/2016, Troopers from the Derby barracks responded to a report of a domestic assault that had occurred at 1150 Beebe Rd in Derby, VT.  Troopers interviewed a female victim who stated that Colby Martin, had come to her house and argued with her about custody issues.  The victim stated Martin then assaulted her while she held her 14-month old baby and in the presence of another 7-year-old juvenile, both physically and by threat of imminent serious bodily injury, and then taken her phone from her as she tried to call the police.

Vermont State Police-Derby are currently looking for information regarding the whereabouts of Colby Martin, age 20, possibly of Derby Line, VT.  A warrant has not been issued for his arrest at this time.  Anyone with information regarding Martin’s whereabouts is encouraged to call (802) 334-8881.
