VIOLATION: DLS, Fireworks

 

ACCUSED: Shappy, J. David                                                                                         

AGE: 28 years old

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Georgia, VT

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On 2 July 2016 at approximately 0255 hours Vermont State Police were called to Maplefield's in Georgia, VT for an unknown suspicious male. Upon arrival the male had left the area in a vehicle. Milton Police Department also assisted with this call.

 

Subsequent to investigation and searching the area, VSP was able to locate the vehicle and initiate a motor vehicle stop. The operator was identified as David J. Shappy, 28 years old of Georgia, VT. Shappy was placed into custody resulting a warrant and Criminal DLS.

 

VSP performed a consent search, which resulted in seizing marijuana and fireworks.

 

Shappy was transported directly to Northwest Correctional Center in regards to the warrant. He was issued a citation to appear in Franklin District Court on 22 August 2016 at approximately 1300 hours for the charges of Criminal DLS and Fireworks.
