OPERATOR #1: Norman Phinney

AGE: 29

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Corinth, Vermont     

 

DESCRIPTION OF VEHICLE: 1999 Subaru Legacy

DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE: Totaled.

 

OPERATOR #2: Carmen Winchester

AGE: 41

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Bradford, Vermont

 

DESCRIPTION OF VEHICLE: 2015 Subaru Forester

DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE: Totaled.

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On the evening of 07-08-16, State Police were dispatched to a 2 vehicle head on collision on Route 25 in Bradford, Vermont. Investigation revealed that Phinney(29) was fatigued and fell asleep causing his vehicle to veer into the oncoming lane of traffic striking Winchester’s(41) vehicle head on. Both operators suffered minor injuries and the passenger in Winchester’s vehicle suffered minor injuries. All parties were taken to Dartmouth Hospital to be checked out. The Bradford Fire Department and FAST squad responded to the scene as well as Upper Valley Ambulance.
