VIOLATIONS:  Sale of Narcotic Drugs (Greater than 1000 doses); Conspiracy to

Distribute Narcotic Drugs ; Reckless Endangerment of a Child.

 

 

ACCUSED: Andrew Struthers                                                                            

AGE: 23

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Bennington (VT)

VIOLATION:  Sale of Narcotic Drugs (Greater than 1000 doses); Possession of

Narcotic Drugs; Conspiracy to Distribute Narcotic Drugs; Possession of a Deadly

Weapon in Commission of a Felony.

 

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

Vermont State Troopers have lead a lengthy investigation involving the sale of

narcotic drugs in and throughout the Bennington (VT) area.  Their investigation

has resulted in the execution of two (2) search warrants, resulting in two (2)

arrests. 

 

The initial warrant was executed on June 24th 2016, on VT Route 9, in the Town

of Woodford (VT).  That search warrant resulted in the arrest of Nicole Bishop,

age 24, of Woodford (VT).  Bishop has been charged with Sale of Narcotic Drugs (Greater than 1000

doses), Conspiracy to Distribute Narcotic Drugs, and Reckless Endangerment of a

Child for selling drugs in the presence of a child.

 

Vermont State Troopers, the Southern Vermont Drug Task Force, and the Bennington

Police Department executed a second search warrant of a residence on Jefferson

Ave, in the town of Bennington (VT) on July 15th 2016.  That search warrant

resulted in the arrest of Andrew Struthers, age 23, if Bennington (VT).  During the search,

Troopers located and seized narcotic pills, three (3) firearms, and $1,437.

 

Struthers has  been charged with Sale of Narcotic Drugs (Greater than 1000 doses), Conspiracy to

Distribute Narcotic Drugs, Possession of Narcotic Drugs, and Possession of a Firearm in the

Commission of a Crime. Both Struthers and Bishop have been released with

citations to appear in the Bennington County Superior Court, Criminal Division.

 

Struthers is scheduled to appear in Court on Monday, July 18, 2016 at 08:15 hours.

Bishop is scheduled to appear in Court in early August (TBA).

 

This investigation is still ongoing.  Additional arrests may result.
