SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

                On 7/27/2016, at approximately 1758 hours, Vermont State Police responded to a one vehicle crash on Vermont Route 16 in the town of Glover, VT. Upon arrival the operator was outside of the vehicle speaking with Glover Ambulance Staff. The operator identified himself as Sean Welton verbally. Welton advised he was traveling on Route 16 on his way home to Barton from Montpelier. Welton advised his phone rang and he picked it up too look at it and that is when he went off the road. Welton advised he tried correcting it but lost control. The vehicle came to a final resting place off the south side of the roadway resting on the passenger side of the vehicle. Welton advised he had been consumed 2 Bud Light Lime-A-Rita’s while driving. While speaking with Welton the odor of intoxicants was detected. Welton preformed Standard Field Sobriety Exercises and provided a preliminary breath test (PBT) of 0.105%. Welton was subsequently placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI and transported to the Derby State Police Barracks for processing.
