SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On July 15, 2016 at approximately 0820 hrs, I was on patrol in a marked cruiser travelling North on VT RT 128 in Westford while running radar. I was observed a silver Honda Civic traveling South on VT RT 128 at a high rate of speed. The posted speed limit on VT RT 128 is 50 MPH. The vehicle passed me traveling 89 MPH at which point I turned around and initiated a Motor Vehicle Stop.  The operator of the vehicle was identified as Noah Hall (age 27), who advised he knew he was speeding and late for work. VT RT 128 is a public highway as defined by the State of Vermont and open to the general flow of traffic. The radar was tested before and after the stop and was found to be functioning properly. Hall was issued a citation to appear in the Chittenden County Court on 08-23-16 for Excessive Speed (Title 23 VSA 1097).
