SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On July 26, 2016 at approximately 1100 hours, State Police were asked to assist the Department of Children and Families (DCF) with a female who was believed to be violating her court conditions. The female, Katie Blanchard (age 32), had conditions stemming from a recent arrest where she is no longer to provide care for any children other than her own.

The information DCF had was that Blanchard has been taking care of numerous children at her residence in Enosburg. State Police accompanied DCF to the residence and found that Blanchard had 4 children besides her own that were currently there. This was a direct violation of her conditions, and the parents of the children were called to come pick them up.

Blanchard was charged with violating her conditions and was ordered to appear in Vermont Superior Court to answer to that charge.
