SUMMARY OF CRASH: On the above date and time the Vermont State Police were notified by a 911 call of a motor vehicle crash on Route 73 in the Town of Rochester.  Initial reports indicated that the operator of the vehicle was injured and White River Valley Ambulance and Rochester Fire Department were dispatched to the scene.  The initial investigation determined that the 2008 Dodge Sprinter work van was travelling west on Route 73 when the driver, Goodwin, lost consciousness and went off the road, rolling over on to the left side in a ditch.  Goodwin had been experiencing heat related stress as a result of working in high temperatures prior to the crash and was transported to Gifford Medical Center.  The vehicle was located off the south side of the roadway and was removed by a wrecker.  There was moderate contact damage to the vehicle.
