SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On July 27, 2016 at approximately 0017 hours, members of the Vermont State Police were engaged in traffic enforcement in an effort to detect and deter impaired drivers. Troopers stopped a motorcycle on West Street in Rutland City for a speeding violation. The operator was identified as Nicholas T. Seck. He was found to have a criminally suspended driver’s license due to a prior DUI related conviction. Seck was taken into custody and transported to the Vermont State Police Barracks in Rutland Town. He was processed and issued a citation to appear at Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division on September 12, 2016 at 0830 hours to answer to the charge of Operating after suspension. Due to his status of being under the supervision of the Vermont Department of Corrections, Seck was later transferred to the Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility.
