SUMMARY OF CRASH: On 07/05/16, at approximately 2242 hours, members of the Vermont State Police, responded to a motorcycle vs pickup truck, head on crash at 838 VT Route 30, in the Town of Newfane. Upon arrival, Troopers learned the operator of the motorcycle, Donald F. Lyon, 39, of Newfane, VT was being transported by Rescue Inc. to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital for injuries to his spine, leg and hand. Troopers subsequently identified the operator of the Ford Truck as Kristen M. Lucia, 32, from Park Ridge, New Jersey. Troopers learned Lucia was traveling with passenger, Cory L. Lucia, 31, from Park Ridge, New Jersey, to Jamaica, VT.
Evidence revealed the motorcycle was traveling south on VT Route 30 when it crossed the centerline, striking the front driver side wheel of the truck. This crash is still under investigation.
