SUMMARY OF CRASH:

VSP Williston Dispatch received a report of a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Rte 116 and Rte 2A in the town of St. George, VT.  Upon arrival, Troopers determined Vehicle #1 was traveling southbound on Rte 116 while Vehicle #2 was traveling northbound.  Vehicle #1 attempted to make a left turn onto Rte 2a as Vehicle #2 approached and the two vehicle collided in an offset head-on manner.  Both vehicles came to rest in the intersection with full airbag deployment.  Both operators were transported to UVMC where it was determined that Op#1 (Russell) as well as Op#2 (Bosen) sustained minor lacerations and bruising. 

 

Due to the time and location of the crash, motorists traveling through the area experienced significant traffic delays both on Rte 116 and Rte 2a while members of the Hinesburg Fire Dept and First Response, Hinesburg Police Dept, St. Michaels Rescue and Williston Rescue attended to the scene.
