SUMMARY OF CRASH: On 07/03/16 at approximately 1722 hours, State Police responded to a two vehicle crash on US RT 5 in the town of Newbury, VT. Joseph Bartlett (28) of Derry, NH was traveling south on US RT 5 and was making a left hand turn when Tyler Mackay (27) of Groton, VT was trying to pass Bartlett. Mackay's vehicle a 1995 Subaru Legacy struck the back driver's side of Bartlett's 2004 Dodge truck. Mackay's vehicle sustained front end damage and Bartlett vehicle sustained driver's side damage. Mackay's passenger Ceiarra Dion (19) of Haverhill, NH was not wearing her seatbelt and suffer a head injury and was transported to Cottage Hospital for treatment.
