Incident: Motor Vehicle Crash with Injuries

Summary of Crash:

On July 3, 2016 at 13:25 hours Troopers were dispatched to a two car motor vehicle crash in Hubbardton at the intersection of Vt. Rt. 30 and Monument Hill Road.

The Hubbardton Fire Department, Fair Haven Rescue Squad and Rutland Regional Ambulance Service also responded to the scene.

Investigation at the scene revealed that James Spry, 84, of Caldwell, New Jersey, was turning left onto Rt. 30 from Monument Hill Road,  when his vehicle collided with a  vehicle traveling northbound on Rt. 30.

This vehicle  was  operated by Michael Wren, 25, of Fultonville, New York.

Spry was transported to the Rutland Hospital and subsequently flown to Fletcher Allen Hospital in Burlington for treatment of his injuries. Two passengers in Spry’s vehicle, Henrietta Spry and Carlotta Mayer, also of Caldwell, New Jersey,  were also transported to the Rutland Hospital by EMS.

Wren was also transported to Rutland Hospital by EMS.
