AGE: 63
CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Cornwall Vermont.
SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Vermont State Police were dispatched to the area of the fishing access on Fern Lake Road in the Town of Leicester for a reported assault complaint.  While en-route police learned that Wesley Harpe had assaulted James Morisseau at the fishing access in Leicester.  Morisseau was able to leave the scene and get to a safe location to wait for police to respond.  While police were investigating the incident Harpe returned to the scene.  Harpe was advised that he was being taken into custody when a brief foot pursuit ensued.  A brief altercation occurred, Harpe was subsequently subdued and taken into custody and transported to the New Haven Barracks for processing.  Harpe was later lodged at the Chittenden County Correctional Facility and issued a citation to appear in Addison County District Court on July 11, 2016 at 12:30 PM to answer the charges.
