LOCATION: Near Minerva Hinchey Shelter on Long Trail in/near Wallingford, VT

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On Thursday, June 30, 2016, Vermont State Police were contacted regarding a suspicious incident that occurred on the Long Trail/Appalachian Trail near the Minerva Hinchey Shelter located approximately 4 miles north of the VT 140 trailhead in Wallingford. Vermont State Police are looking to speak with a male subject last seen leaving this shelter around 0900 hours this morning (6/30/16) possibly headed south. The male subject was described as being approximately 6'-6'2", thin, muscular build, with black/grey hair in a short, buzzed cut style. He was last seen wearing green camo pants, possibly a dark grey short-sleeve shirt, tan/khaki colored boots, and grey/silver glasses. He is believed to be carrying a black hiking backpack, orange sleeping pad possibly with a green/grey sleeping bag. He might go by the name(s) Andre or Albert.
