SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On June 7, 2016, at approximately 23:00 hours, Shaftsbury Troopers responded to a possible home invasion at a residence on East Arlington Road, in the town of Arlington (VT).   While Troopers were enroute, the suspects involved in the invasion fled the scene.

Further investigation led Troopers to a separate residence on East Arlington Road where they located a vehicle that was involved in the invasion.   Troopers ultimately detained four (4) individuals on scene to investigate further.

At the conclusion of the investigation, Troopers were unable to develop probable cause to charge any of the suspects with their involvement with the home invasion, but arrested Merrow for DUI and providing false information to Law Enforcement.

Merrow was later processed at the Shaftsbury Barracks and released with a citation ordering her to appear in the Bennington County Superior Court/ Criminal Division on June 27, 2016, at 08:15 hours.

The investigation involving the possible home invasion is ongoing at this time.  Shaftsbury Troopers are asking potential witnesses to contact Trooper Luke Hall at (802)442-5421.
