VICTIM: 22 month old female

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 05/14/2016 Troopers at the St. Johnsbury Barracks learned of an allegation of a domestic assault and/or ongoing child abuse occurring in the St. Johnsbury area. The victim in the case was said to be a 22 month old female.
Investigation found the child was left in the care of Lauderbach on the evening of 05/12/16 and sustained injuries to her head and face area during this time with Lauderbach. Lauderbach had been released on furlough via Vermont Department of Corrections at the time of the assault.
Subsequent investigation resulted in Lauderbach providing false information to authorities with regard to his actions on 05/12/16 while caring for the child. Lauderbach was later arrested on a probation violation and lodged at the Northeast Regional Correctional Center where he currently remains. On 06/01/16 Lauderbach was cited to appear in Caledonia County Court on 06/27/16 to answer the charges of domestic assault and false information to police.
