SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On June 04th, 2016, at approximately 1700 hours, members of the Vermont State Police from the Rutland Barracks were advised of a red tow truck driving erratically and reportedly running a vehicle off the roadway.   State Police Dispatch issued a BOL (be on the lookout) for the tow truck.  Troopers responded to the area of US Route 7 in Wallingford to intercept the vehicle. The tow truck was observed traveling south on US Route 7 in the Town of Wallingford and Troopers conducted a motor vehicle stop.

 

State Police investigation determined the operator, Adrian Stockwell (29), was driving under the influence of alcohol.  Stockwell refused to provide a preliminary breath test.

 

Stockwell was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the State Police barracks in Rutland for processing.  Stockwell was released on a citation to appear at the Rutland Superior Court (Criminal Division) at a later date and time.
