SUMMARY OF CRASH:  Vermont State Police were called to a report of a vehicle into the Family Dollar in the town of Derby, Vermont.  Investigation found the vehicle only struck a guard pole outside the entrance of the Family Dollar, and did not strike or damage the building.  The operator of the vehicle, Chantal Vachon, 49 of Derby, VT, drove her vehicle into the pole and struck her head on the inside of the windshield.  It should be noted that Vachon was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.  Vachon was transported via ambulance to North Country Hospital to have her injuries checked and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
