Simple Assault Arrest in Westminster

VIOLATION: Simple Assault

 

ACCUSED: Kelly Ann Heavner                                                                                    

AGE:26

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Westminster, Vermont

 

VICTIM: 6 year old boy

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On this date and time, Vermont State Police received a call from Melissa

Richmond at 46 Westminster Housing Apartment #5 in the Town of Westminster

(Windham County) Vermont, advising that her 6 year old son was just assaulted by

her neighbor.

 

Vermont State Police arrived on scene and determined that 26 year old Kelly Ann

Heavner slapped Melissa Richmond's 6 year old son across the face after a verbal

altercation took place over a bicycle.  Kelly Ann Heavner was subsequently

arrested for simple assault and transported back to the Rockingham Barracks for

processing.

 

Kelly Ann Heavner was later released with a criminal citation and conditions of

release, stating that she could not go within 50 feet of the victim or his home.

Kelly Ann Heavner is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windham

Criminal Division, on August 2nd, 2016 at 0800 hours to answer to the above

charge.
