SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On 06/12/16 at approximately 1040 hours the Vermont State Police in Shaftsbury received a report of a two (2) motorcycle collision on Vermont Route 9 in Woodford, just east of Notch Road.  Investigation determined as Goran S. Vucetic was traveling east, he attempted to pass four (4) motorcyclist that had been traveling eastbound.  At this location VT RT 9 is a slight left curve.  After Vucetic passed the fourth motorcyclist, he was unable to safely return to his lane of travel.  Vucetic lost control of his 2015 Harley Davidson and traveled off the south side of the roadway and into a rock wall and telephone pole.  Vucetic was ejected from his motorcycle.  Vucetic's motorcycle traveled into the eastbound lane.  Anthony J. Lombardi and his occupant/wife, Amy C. Lombardi, who had been traveling behind Vucetic, collided with Vucetic's motorcycle with their 2011 Harley Davidson.  A. Lombardi and C. Lombardi were ejected from their motorcycle.  Vucetic sustained significant injuries and was transported to SVMC and eventually to AMC, for treatment of broken bones and lacerations.  A. Lombardi sustained minor scrapes and bruising and was transported to SVMC for further treatment of her injuries.

VT RT 9 was reduced to one lane of travel while emergency personnel managed the scene.  The Bennington Fire Department, Bennington Rescue Squad and Bennington Police Department also responded to the scene.  Both motorcycles were removed from the roadway by All Service Citgo.

This collision is currently under investigations.  Police are asking for anyone with further information about this incident to contact the Vermont State Police in Shaftsbury.
