VIOLATION: Theft of a dog
SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On June 16, 2016 the Vermont State Police received a call from the Rutland County Humane Society, who was reporting a theft of a dog. Throughout the investigation it was learned that three subjects (described as 1- white female, 1- white male, and 1 - African American male) arrived in a black 4 door passenger vehicle, believed to be a VW Passat and two of the subjects utilized the restroom while the third subject waited outside. After hearing the individuals being loud and obnoxious staff learned that they had removed a dog from one of the outdoor kennels and left with the dog. The dog is described as a 1 year old Terrier Mix and goes by the name "Fred."
The VW Passat is believed to be displaying out of state plate, possibly Maine.
