Press Release/Lyndon State College/Bomb Threat

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:  On 6/14/16 at approximately 1345 hours Lyndon State

College received an anonymous threatening e-mail via admissions and student

services claiming that there were explosive devices placed in various locations

of the campus.  The author of the anonymous e-mail threatened harm to the

campus.  Campus security conducted an immediate search of the campus for

suspicious devices or items and nothing was found.  Campus security contacted

the Vermont State Police to report the threatening e-mail and Uniformed Troopers

as well as members of the Bureau of Criminal Investigations responded to the

Lyndon State College. 


Coordinated efforts were completed for ensuring the safety of the campus and a

continued investigation is underway by the Vermont State Police to identify the

origin of the threatening e-mail.


Per Lyndon State College:  All scheduled programs and activities will continue as scheduled.
