SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On Monday June 6, 2016 the Vermont State Police and the New York State Police Scuba Teams searched a quarry located on Vermont Route 149 in West Pawlet, VT. The purpose of the dive was to search for evidence pertaining to the disappearance of Jonathan Schaff who went missing from the area in 2014.
Jonathan Schaff was last seen on January 18, 2014 at the New York/Vermont line walking east on Route 149.
A thorough search of the quarry was conducted by divers from both teams; however no evidence pertaining to the case was recovered.
The Vermont State Police and the New York State Police, with the assistance of Granville (NY) Police Department, continue to jointly investigate the disappearance of Jonathan Schaff.
