DESCRIPTION OF VEHICLE: 2015 Jeep Wrangler

DAMAGE TO VEHICLE: front bumper and undercarriage damage

 

 

HOSPITAL: Gifford Medical Center          

WEATHER: cloudy, approx 56 deg F

ROAD COND: dry pavement, graded gravel

 

SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On 6/9/16 Vermont State Police were called to a single vehicle crash at the

intersection of Hebard Hill Rd and VT Route 66.  A 2015 Jeep Wrangler driven by

David Miles had crashed into a ride at the carnival by Our Lady of the Angels

Church.  Investigation revealed that Miles suffered a medical emergency prior to

the crash.  Several witnesses assisted with medical care on scene until White

River Valley Ambulance arrived.  Several members of the Milton Police Department

and Orange County Sheriffs Department were in the area for training and assisted

in medical care before Miles was transported to Gifford Medical Center.

 

Miles passed away at Gifford Medical Center a short time after the crash.

 

The operators of the carnival have removed the ride damaged in the crash.
