SUMMARY OF CRASH: State Police responded to a report of a one vehicle crash involving a vehicle over an embankment on Breezy Hill Road in St. Johnsbury on 06/01/16 at approximately 1300 hours. Investigation found a 2005 Ford Focus driven by Chelsi McMahan was traveling south on Breezy Hill Road when she lost control. The vehicle went off the west side of the roadway into a yard where it struck a stump causing the vehicle to turn on its side before going down a steep embankment into a culvert. The vehicle finally came to a stop after striking a tree. Rescue personnel utilized hydraulic tools (Jaws of Life), to extricate McMahan from the vehicle.

A male subject, who was mowing a nearby lawn, saw the crash and in an attempt to render assistance, fell down into the culvert injuring himself. Both individuals were transported to NVRH for minor injuries. St. Johnsbury Fire Department, Calex Rescue, Danville Rescue, and Fred's Towing assisted at the scene.
