                On June 11, 2016, at approximately 1800 hours, while running moving radar a Vermont State Trooper observed a vehicle traveling north on Interstate 89 in the town of St. Albans. The vehicle; a white Toyota Corolla was observed traveling at much faster than the posted speed limit of 65 mph.

                The Trooper employed his radar unit which displayed the vehicle to be traveling at 102 mph. Upon going through the next U-turn and traveling north the Trooper was able to catch up to the vehicle. The vehicle continued to travel north on Interstate 89 still at a high rate of speed. The Trooper paced the vehicle with their marked cruiser. The vehicle was paced traveling 107 mph prior to being stopped.

                The operator of the vehicle was identified; taken into custody and transported to the St. Albans Barracks for processing. The operator was subsequently released with a citation to appear in Franklin County Superior Court, Criminal Division on July 25, 2016 to answer for the charge of Negligent Operation.
