SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On June 18, 2016 at approximately 0459 hours Vermont State Police dispatch received a report of a vehicle with significant damage including a missing tire parked in the parking lot of A&B Beverage in Grand Isle. The vehicle was reportedly left running with a single male in the driver’s seat who appeared to be sleeping. 



Troopers responding to the scene awoke the male who identified himself as Nathan Sibley (age 42) of St. Albans, VT. He advised that he had driven to his current location to get gas and coffee, and fell asleep when he arrived. Sibley could not positively identify the source of the damage to his vehicle or when his vehicle had lost a tire.



Investigation determined that Sibley was driving under the influence of alcohol with a BAC of .218. Sibley was arrested at the scene and transported to the St. Albans State Police Barracks for processing. Sibley was cited to appear before the Grand Isle County Superior Court on July 7th 2016 to answer the charge of Driving under the Influence, and was subsequently released.
