SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On 05-15-2016 at approximately 1439 hours, Troopers from the Vermont State Police responded to Lesure Road in Stamford Vermont for theft complaint.
Upon arrival, an investigation ensued. It was found that Kenneth Sullivan-Bol gave his credit card to his contractor, James A Settlers, to use to purchase materials and a machine rental for the property. Settlers used the credit card for those items and then used the credit card to purchase several other things in Stamford and North Adams MA. When troopers questioned Settlers about the unauthorized purchases, Settlers lied and attempted to justify the transactions with fake purchases but eventually admitted to his offenses. Settlers was released on a citation to appear in court on 06-27-2016 in Bennington County Superior Court, Criminal Division for the charges of False pretense, Credit Card Fraud, Larceny and False information to a Police Officer.
