PRESS RELEASE - Welfare Check - Overdue / Lost Motorist

VEHICLE: 2001 Dk Green Honda Odyssey with Vermont (Veteran) registration V8267


SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 5/6/16 at approximately 1722 hours, VSP Williston received a call from a care giver for John Duval requesting a welfare check. 


Vermont State Police were advised Duval was believed to be traveling southbound on Interstate 89 in the City of South Burlington.  Per the caller, Duval was operating a dark green 2001 Honda Odyssey with Vermont (Veteran) registration V8267 and was supposed to be traveling north on Interstate 89, to head back home, but took a wrong turn and headed south on I 89 at approximately 1630 hrs. 


Information provided to Vermont State Police was that Mr. Duval is suffering from the onset of Alzheimer.  Duval was last seen wearing blue jeans, possibly a blue long sleeve button up shirt, and a black jacket.  Duval is a white male, approximately 173 lbs, and 5'8" tall with short black hair. 


Vermont State Police ask anyone who may see Mr. Duval's vehicle and / or Mr. Duval to please contact this agency at (802) 878-7111, Call E 911, or contact your local police agency so officers can respond and assist Mr. Duval in getting home safe.
