DESCRIPTION OF VEHICLE: Green Subaru Outback
DAMAGE TO VEHICLE: Damage to all panels, roof, and frame. Total Loss.
V#1 Operator had minor injuries. Two passengers had serious injuries and were taken to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Hospital. Two passengers sustained minor injuries.
HOSPITAL: Brattleboro Memorial Hospital and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Hospital.
ROAD COND: Dry
SUMMARY OF CRASH: On 05/21/2016, at approximately 12:43am, members of the Vermont State Police responded to a motor-vehicle crash on Higley Hill Road, in the town of Marlboro. Troopers discovered that two occupants had sustained serious injuries, and one of the occupants was entrapped.
Members of the Marlboro Volunteer Fire Department and Wilmington Fire Department were at the scene and assisted with extraction. EMTs from Rescue Inc. transported the occupants to the Brattleboro Memorial Hospital.
Troopers discovered that of the five occupants in the vehicle, no one was wearing a seatbelt. The cause of the crash is still under investigation; however, it is believed that speed was the primary factor which caused the crash.
