SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 5/18/16 at approximately 2230 hours the Troy Fire Department responded to the above location for a report of a tractor trailer on fire. Once on scene, the fire was contained to the box trailer. The trailer contained household items such as furniture, clothing and other similar type items. The fire was contained to the box trailer and Troy called for an aerial unit to respond and apply water from an elevated platform. Fire suppression was limited to the aerial attack based on the contents on fire and their location in the trailer. Based on the type and location of the fire, the fire chief requested the fire be investigated by the State Fire Investigation Unit.

On this date I arrived and examined the scene. Based on evidence located at the scene along with witness statements the fire was deemed suspicious.  There were no reported injuries or other property damage as a result of the fire. This case is under investigation and the State Police are continuing to follow leads at this time. Anyone with information concerning this fire is encouraged to contact the State Police. If anyone saw any suspicious activity in this area at the time of the fire should call the police.
