SUMMARY OF CRASH: VSP Williston Troopers responded to a one vehicle collision on River Rd. in the town of Underhill. Upon arriving, it was learned that Operator #1 (Burnham) was traveling westbound on River Rd. when she collided with a cow that had broken through a fence in the area and had run across the road. Burnham advised she thought a second cow had also been struck but could not be certain.
Burnham's vehicle sustained moderate damage to the front passenger side corner. Burnham was reportedly wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash and was released from the scene without injuries.
The cows were located by on-scene fire & rescue personnel and reportedly not showing signs of being injured. They were relocated back into a neighboring field a short time later by EMS responders and local farm volunteers.
